FEMALE GENITAL AESTHETIC SURGERY

Female genital aesthetic surgery has increased dramatically in recent years. Genital problems cause serious trust issues and sexual reluctance problems in women. Parallel to these problems and with the increasing awareness of surgical methods.

The problems in the genital area are mostly growth-sagging in the genital lips, shrinking, asymmetry, color changes, excessive expansion often due to normal birth. Labiaplasty for genital lip problems, laser applications for color changes, and vaginoplasty for enlargement are the primary repair approaches.

  • In the labiaplasty surgery, if excessive parts or asymmetry are detected in the vaginal lips, the removal of the excessive part is applied; and if the vaginal lip is smaller than the necessary size, fat injections and enlargement are the main targets.
  • In vaginoplasty surgery, it is possible to obtain the desired results by narrowing the vaginal entrance and canal and by re-tightening the muscle structures forming the posterior wall of the vagina.
  •

Genital aesthetic surgeries are often carried out under local anesthesia or a combination of local anesthesia and sedation anesthesia. In both anesthesia types, some prior anesthesia medications are applied to reduce and relieve the tension of the patient prior to the surgery so that the patient does not feel any pain during the operation. It is important that the patient, who is intended to undergo sedation anesthesia after the interview before the anesthesia, does not consume any foods or beverages starting at least 6 hours prior to the surgery.

The genital area aesthetics surgery takes approximately 45 minutes.

Post-operative Period

No obvious scars are left after the genital aesthetics surgery. The patients, who are discharged on the same day or the following day, may have a bath after the 2nd day and may have sexual intercourse after 2 or 3 weeks depending on the surgical procedure.

Mild pain and a sense of tingling, which start at the 2nd postoperative hour, are common; and may be controlled completely with simple painkillers. It is important to use antibiotics and painkillers for the postoperative 1 week.
