LEG AESTHETICS

LEG AESTHETICS

Leg Aesthetics Surgery is the solution for smooth and symmetrical legs which are an important part of visuality in women. The thickening in the legs parallel to weight gain is the most common aesthetic problem before us and is followed by sagging or thinning.

In anatomical terms, the leg is divided into three parts. These are; the knee cap, the thigh, which is the upper part of the kneecap, and the “calf”, which is located at the lower part. The aesthetic problems that are faced in these areas are often different from each other and must be considered in a separate manner.

The main aesthetic complaints in the thigh area are local fat deposits, the thigh being circularly thick, and the sagging in the inner parts of the thigh. The form and size of the treatment that will be applied in all of these complaints vary greatly.

The Types of Leg Aesthetics

The first option for fat deposits and asymmetries in the thigh is Liposuction surgery. Liposuction surgery is often carried out under general anesthesia or sedation. The average surgery time varies between 1 and 1.5 hours parallel to the width of the area. In this surgery, the cannula is used to clean the fat tissues that cause asymmetry and thickness through several holes of 2 mm. Patients are often pain-free following the surgery. They become active after 2 hours and can be discharged after 1 day.

The treatment in the repair of the sagging in the inner part of the thigh area is thigh-reduction combined with Liposuction. The basic aim of thigh-reduction surgeries is the removal of the sagging and the excess-forming skin. Similarly, this procedure is also done under general anesthesia, and the fat tissue that is accumulated in the inner thigh is cleaned in the first stage with Liposuction. Parallel to the degree of the sagging, partial or full thigh-reduction surgery is carried out. In partial thigh-reduction surgery, the incisions are placed in the groin area (the junction of the abdomen and the leg); and are completely hidden with the underwear.

Knee Aesthetic

In full thigh-reduction surgery, in addition, a trace extending towards the knee is formed. In the partial thigh-reduction surgery, the recovery is achieved in the vertical plane; however, in the full-reduction surgery, the recovery is also in the horizontal plane. After both thigh-reduction surgeries, the patient is activated and can walk on the same day; and may be discharged from the hospital on the next day. Patients can return to their daily life approximately 4 days after the surgery. They may go for long walks at the end of the 1st week, and may also be go jogging and do other sporting activities as of the 15th day.

The most common complaint in the knee area aesthetics is the sagging and fat deposits around the knee. Particularly the fat deposits inside the knee can cause aesthetical great concerns when wearing skirts or tight clothes. The first option in the treatment of these problems is “Liposuction”. With this surgery, which is applied under sedation together with local anesthesia, patients can get rid of their complaints within approximately 30 minutes and can be discharged on the same day.

Calve Aesthetic

The most important reason for the complaints in the calf area is having thin calves compared to the upper leg, unlike other areas. There are two options to resolve this problem. The first one of these and the most frequently preferred one is the use of silicone prostheses. In this surgery, which can be carried out under general anesthesia or spinal anesthesia, prostheses can be placed with an incision of approximately 3 cm from the back of the leg, and the patient is activated and can walk on the same day. Since the prostheses are placed at a certain depth within the skin, they are not felt by hand in the following periods. As prostheses made of hard silicone are usually preferred, damage and deformity are seen very rarely in the prostheses in the long term.

Another alternative is thickening this area is the Fat Graft Application. Especially in patients who have fat deposits in other parts of the body and who undergo Liposuction, these fats may be thinned. Fat Graft Application may be applied for thickening the leg.

Another complaint area in leg aesthetics is the thickness in the ankle and in the lower leg. The fat deposits in this area except for the bone, skin, and tendons. They may often cause that the leg looks thicker and rougher than it normally is. The most suitable option in the treatment of this area is Liposuction. The surgery is carried out under local anesthesia + sedation. The patient can be discharged on the same day. There are no surgical treatments for the bones, skins, and tendon-oriented thicknesses other than the fat deposits.
