The basic treatment of the sagging in the face and neck area in time is the Face Lift Surgery. This surgery may vary according to the areas where the patient needs to be corrected. While the problem can be overcome with Mini-Face Lift in some patients, the need for a Full Face-Neck Lift may occur in some other patients. On the basis of this difference, there is the effort of the face to be in as general harmony. The transition among the surgery areas and the remaining parts must not be noticed after the surgery. For this purpose, upper and lower eyelid repairs and fat injections are applied at the same time with Face-Neck Lift surgeries.
The Surgery
In the Face-Neck Lift surgery, the patient is asked not to consume foods or beverages 6 hours before the surgery. After this fasting period, the patients who are admitted to hospital are taken to their rooms; and are evaluated for the last time by the anesthetist and me. At this stage, firstly, photographs are taken, and surgery drawings are made. After a sedative medication is applied, patients whose tension and stress are reduced are taken to surgery.
The surgery is often carried out under general anesthesia, and the surgery duration is approximately 4 hours.
The Post-operative Period
After you recover from the surgery, you will have a mask on your face. You will be taken to your room after your recovery, and your pain will be kept under control with regular analgesics. I often use a mini drain due to the possibility of bleeding in facelift surgeries and usually remove it in 2 days.
Common swelling may occur after facelift surgeries. It is not an operation in which you will experience serious pain, unlike the appearance. The following day after the surgery, I discharge my patients who stay in the hospital one night. As of the 4th day, you can take bath; and as of the 7th day, you can go back to your daily life. The swelling will disappear completely within the 1-month maximum.
